Bullish stocks near support
I feel like it's time to start a thread for some picks. I have learned a ton from everyone here. Thank you to everyone for all your help in my process. I am not sure if I will list daily, weekly or whenever I have time.
Finding bullish stocks seems great, but finding bullish stocks near support has been extremely helpful for me when looking for stocks to trade. I will run a search that looks for stocks that fit that scenario and have high levels of implied volatility over the last three months.
There's about 25-50 that come up every day, I will try and narrow them down to the best ranked for ERG (earnings, revenue and growth). I will also be looking at MACD and Stochastics along with 30 day MA. I have been trading options recently, so if I buy any that I list, the time frame would be from a few days to a few weeks and for me the chart will outweigh the ERG but I prefer to see both, a nice ERG with a good chart indicator for entry. The option is only as good as it's underlying stock.
I have had a lot of success recently using this method. I have also made money on every one of $$$Mr. Market's$$$ picks using the charts for an entry. Oh yea, these would do well in an UP trending market.
A few that caught my eye tonight 4/29 are QCOR, YCZ, RGLD

Steel
Nice thread. Are you using the 5/30MA with MACD to time your entry? I've seen a few sites that uses this method.

Did you see QCOR today???!!! up 12% while the DOW is down 110 pts.
Wooish, The first chart that will come up is a 6 month chart that has the 30 day MA. My indicator on stochastics is once it goes over 25 or it looks like it's getting ready to. Then from those, I have been looking at the 3 month from there.

I do use MACD and sometimes I do look at RSI, but I have my chart set for full stochastics, MACD and 30 day MA.

I recetnly bought call options in FLIR, HOV, QCOR, CTSH ($$$MM$$$pick), F, DELL and GFI during the past few days to a few weeks back and still holding.
I had some real nice winners in the past 8 weeks with HA, BYI, SRCL, CXW, EGO, VSH, C, BUCY ($$$MM$$$), RDWR, KLIC.
My losers were HEAT and EBIX using this criteria. The overall return from the above closed trades was 41%. Again, these were all options.
I still wish I would have found $$$Mr. Market$$$ about a year earlier than I did. Anyway, I look forward to still learning from everyone here and I want to make a ton of money together!

Yum
I read about this one on motley fool stock advisor. I checked Mr M's scale and it scored 104. I didn't read any disclaimers saying they had been paid to promote this stock. First ---does anyone know this site and am I wasting my time reading anything from there or what? The way they make it sound YUM is supposed to be the next Mc D's in China !!! Umm I've heard that so many times before. Also, what do you think of ITMN. I read somewhere, not sure now--- my mind is melting with all this research. The FDA is supposed to decide by this coming Tuesday on a treatment for lung disease, which would be the ONLY ONE to treat this certain type of lung disease. If approved... this certainly would shoot the stock up. Any thoughts. If this stuff is old news, my apologies, I'm new at this game and haven't read all the earlier posts.
Regards

Re: ITMN Here is part of the article I read on PR newswire.
Though the Advisory Committee's recommendations are not binding, they will be considered as the FDA completes its review of the New Drug Application (NDA) for Esbriet. Esbriet received Orphan Drug, Fast Track and Priority Review designations by the FDA. Priority Review designation may be granted by the FDA to an NDA for drugs that have the potential to offer major advances in treatment, or provide a treatment where no adequate therapy exists. A target date of May 4, 2010 has been set under the Prescription Drug User Fee Act (PDUFA).
Does anyone know anything about this trial? Do you think this might be too risky for entry at this time? My gut tell's me that there is more potential for this stock to drop with any hint of bad to neutral news and increase slightly with expected good news. IMO
