Quantcast
I have 17 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. Default Using IBD Daily Graphs?

    Hi, Mr. Market:

I am wanting to learn your method. I have Daily Graphs from IBD. For your P/E ratio, do you use Daily Graph's Custom Screen-> 7. Margins and Ratios -> Current Trailing 12-Month P/E for your P/E ratio?

Default How to you put this together?

Thanks for the reply. I guess I don't understand how you put all these screens together. For example:

    Screen #8: Stocks with Investors
Business Daily Ratings greater than 90 RS and PE less than 20.

Do you pull out of Daily Graphs all stocks with 90 RS and then how to do go into Yahoo and eliminate all those except stocks under 20 PE manually? I ask that because I created eight Daily Graphs screens to mirror your eight screens and was assuming that's how you did it.

I have some other questions as I work this out:

    * Do you limit yourself to stocks over $10?
    * Throughout your listing of 8 screens, you refer to "greater than" or "less than." (One example: "Stocks with Investors Business Daily
Ratings greater than 95 EPS and 95 RS." ) In these cases, do you mean stocks of 96 EPS or more and 96 RS or more?
    * In screen #3, you say, "Stocks within 5% of their 52 week high
with a 52 week price appreciation > 150% and EPS growth of 25% Screen." Over what time period is this EPS growth?

Sorry to keep hitting you with questions, but I also am trying to understand what you mean by:

"Rank these stocks on the following criteria: Price Appreciation, Price
Appreciation divided by trailing 12 month P/E, Price Appreciation divided
by forward 12 month P/E... Weight each criterion equally and rerank the database."

Are these two steps or one, and how do you do that? Could you give me an example?

Partly for kicks and partly because I am lazy and want the easy way to do things, I am trying to write a program that, given a list of ticker symbols, could automatically analyze all this data the MrMarket way and give me the final few stocks than need to eyeballed by a human. The initial eight screens would be the results of Custom Screen searched with Daily Graphs. Happy to share it if you are interested... that is, if it works
