I have 12 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. The bull market has been ongoing for about 4 mo. It is time for a correction. Earnings season is a good time for a selloff. Goldman Sux is making people realize what a scam the markets really are.

Gas and steel prices are rising and China is finding that they cannot be so easy with their lending.

Take some profits. Short Goldman, take a step back and watch the market.

A real stock picker can find a good value for under $30 with real earnings, good volume and great potential.

There is no need to take out a mortgage to buy 100 shares of a good stock. There are many quality stocks out there.

Now generally, my saying is "sell in May and go away - come back after labor day". In fact you could have made a fortune with that advice last week. but nevertheless, people feel they have to buy - buy -buy.

I can see SORL a maker of brake valve parts for commercial trucks in China making a 50% gain in a year, but the global market is bad and unless you have been talking to the market fixers at Goldman Sax, I would only play with the lunch money for now. I am a big fan of builders BUCY and TEX too - but for now, getting some house renovations and a new car are better uses for my money. Maybe yours too.

Know when to fold em' & know when to hold 'em. Love that Kenny Rogers and love his chicken!

In the car world, F is out with the new Fiesta. The price is from 15-19k. For my money, there is a lot of competition and the car is kind of small. You can get an Elantra for about 10 a sonata for about 13 and about a dozen bigger and nicer cars for 19 - but the earnings did look good and the low pe makes this a $14 stock.

Chinese auto maker, BYD is planning to come out with its plug in car in CA by the end of the year - it could be big. This company is owned 10% by Warren Buffet!

Electric car maker, Tesla (TSLA) is one to stay away from. The car is expensive (a 100k roadster) and they are not due for a 4 dr until next year when the Chevy Volt and Nissan Leaf are out. they have a long way to go b4 they make money.

Right now some of my favorites are APKT, the leader in cloud computing. This is the future - having all the software and storage someplace else!
about 32

Chinese telecom co., TSTC is coming back from a swoon. It is working on the rt side of a cup and looking good. About 12

My other fave is IDSA. I really don't understand what they do, but they sure have a pretty chart!

It is incredible that there have been 5 no-hitters in the Major Leagues this year! And that's not even counting the Met's Carlos Beltran and Jason Bay!

Default Toyota's woes

If it isn't one thing to worry about, it's another.

Toyota's electronic systems fouled up by cosmic rays??

Toyota makes good cars. The auto acceleration problems were unproven. Computer checks showed that the cars involved in the accidents did not have their brakes applied. Even so, the amount of claims put in were a small percentage of the cars actually sold.

In fact, When I was stopped for speeding in my Solara Convertible, I explained to the officer that it accelerated by itself!

But cosmic rays make more sense.

APKT came out with some less than appealing earnings and took a 13% haircut. May even be more this week. Take it as an opportunity to buy. The company will still meet its annual projection and may be a target for a bigger tech company. I would look to buy.

Default Toyota Is Still Great

Toyota's big mistake was with the Union out in California. Apparently if you don't play ball will the unions , Obama and the administration comes down on you like a ton of bricks........it's all political. Toyota still builds a great car!
