I have 26 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. Another week and more moves. In particular, Mr. Market has moved into positive territory with some momentum behind his pick, INTZ. It’ll be interesting to see what awaits us in the coming weeks as the market, for the first time since the initial COVID-19 selloff, is showing some bearish signs. Buckle up, everybody.

Default POY Contest Standings, As of Market Close June 19, 2020

Things started to really bunch up at the top this week until REGN made a mega-move today to pull out to a substantial lead. The thing is, if Regeneron is one of the first to produce a C0VID-19 vaccine, as a lot of people seem to be betting, there will be a lot more upside to come. What an excellent pick, Paco. Also keep an eye on Mr. Market’s pick INTZ. There’s a lot of heat in that stock right now. It may be trying to be number one ... with a bullet! There are certainly some excellent picks this year. If you’re still below water, however, don’t despair. There’s still a lot of year ahead of us and who knows what surprises the market has up its sleeve.

Default POY Contest Standings, As of Market Close June 26, 2020

Well, Paco’s REGN reined in a little after making made a moon shot last week. This has put Jiesen’s CERS within striking distance for the lead, as Jiesen reclaimed the number two spot. Not far behind is Riverbabe’s CRWD with yours truly’s TTD hanging on to 4th place. The big story this week, however, is probably Mimo’s NEXCF, which enjoyed a banner week that sent it from a 23% loser to being a 32% winner. I told you things could change fast, so for those of you still below water, do not despair. We’re not even half way through the contest timeline yet!

I did a rough calculation on the POTY 2020 stocks. I estimated if you purchased (or shorted) 1 share of each of the stocks on 1/31/2020, the current market price would be approximately $4048 for an increase of $1177 or 41% in 5 months.

You picked a winner, Mimo. NEXCF took off like a moon shot this week. You were briefly in first place, but it pulled in a little. Getting interesting.

Can you put me and my dad in with the 20% penalty? He wants MSFT as his pick. I want EA. Thanks, if possible.

John Henry, can we do that? If so would it be as of today or tomorrow? I can integrate it into my spreadsheet, if it’s OK.

We welcome IPOs if picked by the end of February 1, 2020 – Starting price will be the closing price of the IPO.

Picks submitted after February 1, 2020 are welcome – A 20% penalty of the closing price.

Short share price – Price when delisted plus a 20% penalty of the closing price.

A reverse split, split, or, symbol change – OK if you let us know prior to or on February 1, 2020 (For example, Louetta informed us with her pick of LOGG) otherwise a 20% penalty for the extra research.

I will post on February 2, 2020 before I leave. I will be hiking for several months. I will update the monthly results if I get internet connection or when I come back home.

Discussions and concerns are welcome. Good Luck!
I think that the rules are pretty clear in this case... late picks are allowed and welcome, with the 20% penalty. There's no second deadline, so I would assume any time before the end of the year, you could enter with the penalty. (of course the longer you wait, the less hope you'd have of actually winning) Unless there are any objections, I would just go by what the rules say.

Also, to your other question, the price would probably best be taken as the closing price on the day it was picked here. But if you're tracking it, I would say it's probably best left to you to interpret the rules and decide which price to use. If you do pick the wrong price, you can always correct it later, but I have a feeling there won't be much objection if you are off by a day or a dime on this one.
