Quantcast
I have 85 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. Well, maybe the Alice question was a little too female centric so lets turn to sports instead.

A local sports talk show has a feature called Buy or Sell. A moderator reads a one sentence sports related proposition and four commentators Buy or Sell based on whether they think the proposition is true/will come true or false/will be false. Yesterday's proposition was that until 2015 students at perennial March Madness competitor Liberty University were not allowed to watch R rated movies. Three commentators voted yes (which is correct) and one laughed heartily and said no, impossible.

Which made me wonder what he might think of the following question: which large university, a perennial March Madness competitor, forbids all students the drinking of coffee. (PS: I don't drink it.)

My guess is Brigham Young. I worked at a school in Ohio that had 2 or 3 top administrators that were Mormon. They didn't drink coffee , soft drinks, or liquor and didn't smoke.

When did Smokey Bear stop saying "Remember... Only YOU Can Prevent Forest Fires" and start saying "Only You Can Prevent Wildfires"?

Yup. In fact he still has his own Zip Code, 20252, which is in Washington, DC. Interesting to look up the demographics of that Zip Code. 0 white people, 0 blacks, 0 Hispanics, etc. Average income of $0.

    also interesting:

Smokeyís original catchphrase was "Smokey Says Ė Care Will Prevent 9 out of 10 Forest Fires." In 1947, it became "Remember... Only YOU Can Prevent Forest Fires." In 2001, it was again updated to its current version of "Only You Can Prevent Wildfires" in response to a massive outbreak of wildfires in natural areas other than forests and to clarify that Smokey is promoting the prevention of unwanted and unplanned outdoor fires versus prescribed fires.

Here's hoping Smokey meets a nice girl bear to help him enjoy his declining years.
