From an internet post AVEO "MAY" still have room to run to $3. per share . With a float size of 55.3 Million this could happen very quickly!
On Wednesday the company announced that positive data from the company’s Phase 3 TIVO-1 first-line renal cell carcinoma (RCC) study will be presented at the 2015 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting. Aveo also announced that it had received a written response from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) stating that a phase 3 study outlined by the company, in patients with RCC who have failed at least two prior regimens, including VEGF therapy, “may support AVEO’s proposed indication for tivozanib in the 3rd line setting.” Basically you put your money down and take your chances, as AVEO is a risky stock! http://finviz.com/quote.ashx?t=BX&ty=c&ta=1&p=d
everything looks great except next year's EPS growth is estimated at -5% and next 5 year's EPS growth at -2% (annually I guess). Why is this? What do they (whoever they is) see happening? It troubleth me.

Louetta a good question for which I have no answer. I also noticed that one of the co-founders of BX quit recently .....look at the notes down below the chart. There could be trouble in Paradise ..but who knows?

Maybe end of lock-up?
"May 22 2015, 12:47 ET | About: The Blackstone Group L.P. (BX) | By: Stephen Alpher, SA News Editor
- Blackstone (NYSE:BX) Senior Managing Director Doug Ostrover was one of three co-founders of GSO, the company's alternative credit platform which Blackstone bought in 2008 and which now has AUM of $75B. He will remain as a senior advisor, but is also starting a family office to manage his considerable wealth.
- The FT notes investor fears of a series of top management exits from Blackstone as a number faced lock-up periods of up to eight years after the IPO and June 2015 marks eight years. "“There has been so much wealth generated for a whole generation,” says one partner.

Interesting question, Louetta. VV shows 7 companies rated higher than BK in the financial area: NOAH, SEIC, BLK, AMG, DHIL, TROW, and ASPS. Only BLK comes near to BX in market cap. For the most part they all are projected EPS growth of 10-15% for the next 5 years with the exception of BX. BX also has by far the highest percentage of negative insider transactions, -84%. By other measures BX is far superior, even broker recommendations remain very optimistic. The high dividend would explain some of the lowered expectations, or would it not?

Louetta, after most recent earnings and listening to Shwarzman's cocky interview on CNBC ( http://www.cnbc.com/id/102592247 ) I shifted some positions to buy BX on 4/23 at 40.85 (dipping on the ex-div date and I did not get that one dividend). That position is currently up >6.00% and plan to hold through the summer (when I am less on top of markets) and grab future dividends.
In respect to next years growth estimate I do not have an answer. It is impossible to know what opportunities they may have come their way, but they do have money pouring in and will have to continue making deals while their earnings machine rolls on.
