I have 23 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. Default long term investing

Hi everyone, was refered here by Mr. I AM HUGE from GL. From reading these posts here, you surely are HUGE too. It's not just a myth.
Anyway, I'm 18 and have some money I want to put away for long-term investing. Any suggestions? I really don't know much about the stock market, but it can't be too hard to make an investment. I'm not into frequent trading or any of that stuff, I just want to buy some stock and leave it alone. I'd like it to be fairly secure but don't mind it fluctuating or putting it in a moderate-risky investment. I know this board is full of stocks, but most seem for short term growth. I'm sure I've missed some, but that's just how it seems. I'm gonna try and do a little of that too once I see how everything works. And what do most of you use? Ameritrade?

    Thanks
    Mike
