PotY Contest Standings As of Market Close, December 24, 2021

The market will be closed tomorrow so I’m posting the standings a day early this week. One week! That’s all that’s left folk. The standings remain pretty much unchanged this week from last. Blind Squirrel’s KNSL remains in the lead followed by Mr. Market’s TRUP. These remain our only two green positions, but Paco’s ETSY, in third, and Louetta’s SAN are close. If ever there was time for good news for your stock, next week is it. In the meantime, I sincerely hope that everyone has a very Merry Christmas!

Wait, all is not lost. I have 4 stocks in a DRIP retirement account that reinvest divs. Dec. 31. Lower prices mean more shares! Yeah, a silver lining.

Well, it’s finally hear. The last day of the contest and the year have come and gone, and we have an unofficial winner. Congratulations Blind Squirrel! Not only did you win, but your pick, KNSL, is the only pick both in the green and beating all three indices. That is quite an accomplishment in a year in which most of our picks didn’t fare too well. Soon, you will be receiving your first place prize, an all expenses paid trip to your own living room where you will have front row seats for the Alabama/Georgia FBS college football game on your very own television! Congratulations also to our second and third place finishers, Mr. Market and Louetta respectively. You both did very well in this difficult market. Of course, these are unofficial results and will need to be blessed by contest admin John Henry. Let me end this last contest summary with this:
