Hi All...I am working on setting up a number of niche websites. Most are not stock related...But one is that I'd like to mention and get some opinions from you guys/gals.

It will be a Directory site focusing on online brokers and some other stuff.

I have it ready, but I'm not sure which name I should use.

I'm caught between OnlineBrokerDirectory.com and OnlineBrokersDirectory.com The second one has Broker as a plural...with an "s".

Not sure which one is grammatically correct...and maybe it doesn't matter...I'm more interested in which one sounds better...So I am putting up a poll to get your opinion. I appreciate it. It does not matter which one you vote for because I own both domain names...Thanks for your opinion...Best, Doug(IIC)

If you are focusing on more than one, then it should be plural. And that not only is grammatically correct, it also sounds better because you are advertising a wider service than just 'one' broker. I'd be more interested in comparing the various brokers rather than focusing on just what a single broker may do for me.

I was thinking just the opposite. Online Broker Directory seems to designate a directory for finding Online Brokers or finidng an Online Broker and there could be a list of hundreds of them. The plural Online Brokers Directory may seem to designate a directory for Online Brokers which might suggest a directory for use specifically by Online Brokers.

I guess someone could ask the question, I'm looking for an Online Broker. Is there a directory for that and does it have a list of them.

Actually it would probable work just as good either way.

I have to agree with Skiracer here, that while what you are listing are online brokers, the directory is a broker directory. it's definitely good to have both, though, as people will undoubtedly confuse the two and use both anyway.

It's a great idea, as I was just looking around for such a site the other day, with very little success. I want to know what services and prices each broker available has, in a nice simple format that makes the comparisons easy to see. None of the sites I found were anywhere near complete, and most of the good ones were biased toward the broker who was doing the comparisons (only comparing fees or benefits that were advantageous to that broker).

Good luck with the site, and let us know when it's up and running... I'll use it to pick my next deep-discount brokerage. I had thought freetrade sounded great until I heard about interactivebrokers, but I want to know all the rest that are out there before I take the plunge!

Sorta funny how you always say "Throw A Dart"...There was a guy, who actually was pretty sharp, in one of of the forums I am in who said..."IIC throws Spaghetti at the wall and see's what sticks"...He was bashing me...but I didn't care...My mission is to be "Sticky"

Hey IIC nice site your putting together. I made a website for my company and man that was a lot of time and effort. The site looks good, but I won’t give out the address. I get spam from a bunch of trading sites. I made the mistake and gave out the web address an another forum!
