Hi all, now the first pick has turned up, I want to announce a new Following MrMarket port. It won't be as harebrained as the first one and will sell when MrMarket does, so the port buys and sells at the prices MrMarket announces. MrMarket has 14 stock slots, and I will use a 15th cash slot to rebalance. The port starts with $15,000. For commissions I'll use $10.

The port bought 36 FINL @ 27.13 = 976.68 (986.68 with commission)

Cash: 14013.32

Please excuse my ignorance :oops: , but I don't know what you mean by a "port". Where do we find it? Do you have it in a portfolio?

On 10-3, MrMarket announced a new buy (http://www.mrmarketishuge.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=103), ARO, which he bought at 28.90. The paper port, sorry: portfolio :wink:, accordingly bought 34 ARO.

The port currently holds 36 FINL, 34 ARO, cash is at $13,020.72 and total value stands at $15,151.46, a gain of 1% overall.

Wow! ARO got sold already, and 19 WLS entered the portfolio at 54.10. That makes 36 FINL, 19 WLS and 13115.90 cash, for a total of 15,184.04, just a bit higher as last week (+0.2%). SPY dropped a bit (-0.3%) and so did QQQ (-1.1%).

One of the older stocks got sold too, so the port is getting fuller bit by bit.

Well, this report is all for the moment :)

Perhaps we'll be able to present it differently in a while, but at that time MrMarket himself will also be able to present his holdings, and the two portfolio's are essentially the same. Except that my version uses fictitious positions, and so gives an idea of the development of the value of the portfolio.

Karel-have taken a background seat (actually established this new moniker for one reason to compliment you on this etc.), but just wanted to say it was a great idea for you to do the port idea. Best of success.
