Yes it is working very well. By applying the new vectors to the lower end of the system, we seem to be having more success.

I am planning a trip next month to Kidron Ohio, in order to consult with an Amish family about their business practices. I have received a formal invitation from the Yoder family and have accepted.

A European trip is also possible before the end of the year for further VTP research.

Webs,

When in Kidron make sure to go to Lehman Hardware. You'll never see another store like it. Buy some Amish clothes at the store next door. That's where they got them for the Tim Allen movie when they hid out in Amish country.

I've actually been to Lehmans Harware about 9 years ago. It reminds me of the hardware stores we used to have. I will definitely be going there again. I'll probably end up spending a fortune while I'm there...or my wife will...jejeje

I predict CASH will rally 5% tomorrow on a HUUUUGE volume day trading about uhhhhh.... let's say.... 1,250 shares?.... and The Photon will take the gold....jejeje.... HEY Rockin'Rob.... Maybe you could think about changing the "cash spelling rule" to state that unless a member actually states that they want "Meta Financial Group" that "cash" means Ca$h? :p

Seriously.... I doubt that HSOA can keep from losing less than 1% tomorrow so my money is on Doug-E-Fresh to take the gold with better than 10% on his short....

I like the rule as it is, where "cash" means CASH, i.e. Meta Financial Group. If somebody wants cash money, they will need to make it clear.

Check out Caustic Soda Hopper! Last week the silver, this week the gold! It looks like, with only three weeks to go in this third quarter, he's really determined to get off that bottom rung, to which he was flung four weeks ago with that HUUGE loss of 53.92%. Which stock was that, Caustic? I'm too lazy to look it up right now, but I think it was ALLI. It floated like a buttrfly, and stung like a bee!

They say the Ice Man cometh. Well this week the Ice Man lefteth and was goneth all week but still managed to exact a pound of flesh from this tough market! Good thing ol' Speed Racer picked another car to drive in this race, or he'd have lost a wheel on the 2nd turn! Anyway, four medals in seven weeks, Ice! Awesome!

And what can one say about the Flamin' Brain? ... Whassat? ... No!! ... I said Flamin'! Not "Lame"! Anyhow, I don't know what it was he saw in Meta Financial Group (CASH) this week. Come to think of it, I'm not even sure he knows what he saw in it! :) Inasmuch as I'm not even 100% sure he knows he picked it! But pick it he did, and is now walking off with the bronze medal!

And just to illustrate what a tough week it was, Goober Peas would have won the bronze with a "measly" 1% gain if the Flamin' Brain had done something like, oh, I don't know pick ca$h for the week!

Rob, great write up! Lousy rule about "CASH" :D ...cost me a medal (actually, I like that rule)

Measly would have been right. MVCO traded a whopping 51,011 total shares all week! That's almost comical.

Congrats to Lyehopper, IIC, and, gulp, 'The' Photon. You guys are $$$HUGE$$$

The Gold: Lye is King! He's HUUUUUGE! Congrats dude.

The Silver: IIC, another fine performance. Really great numbers lately, congrats.

The Bronze; Photon's luck might be huge, but Peanuts DESERVES the bronze in my book. a) is it very highly likely Photon meant a 'cash' position b) if he didn't, then why is it assumed he wanted the ticker CASH long? He didn't specify the direction of the trade Rob. I say Peanuts should be given the bronze. I also think Lye's suggestion to change the rule has merit. I'd add another; if you don't specify the direction of the trade, you don't get the trade :D

Note that I just posted a corrected scorecard for this past week. I received a private message from StkyTreat informing me that I had neglected to sell SHOO and short NVEC at the open on Friday. I think that was mighty noble of Sticky "The Hustler" to do that, because it resulted in a substantial drop in his final score for the week. Thank you, Sticky.

Very creative, Peanuts! Hey, you forgot to comb your hair this morning. And where did you get the cool tee shirt? In the parking lot of a Grateful Dead concert?

I've been to a few of those, and it's like stepping back in time to the 60s. In the parking lot at one of these there were hippie vans all over the place, people selling tie-dye tee shirts, various forms of contraband, etc., and I saw one hippie chick selling vegetarian burritos that she was cooking up in a wok right there on the ground. Crazy bunch o' people, them Dead heads.

We don't have the Dead anymore. The scene was with Phish for a while, but they split and people are spread out. Now, festivals where several bands play are where you'll find those great vegetarian burritos!

For the 2000 millenium celebration, I was in Big Cypress Indian reservation in the swamps of southern Florida at a 3 day all Phish show. Since we were on a reservation, many of the laws of the US were not applicable, and thus, things were 'legal' for 3 days... an amazing feeling! ;)

Cramer says if BMY fires CEO and keeps current dividend at tomorrows meeting , the stock could go up enough to win the POTW. If they keep Dolan and cut the dividend , a person choosing BMY in the contest could finish in last place. Anyone willing to take that chance ?

Dude I got robbed! Yeah, let me tell you how! First, I’m at school and I can’t watch the market to buy it back when it goes below $33 but I shouldn’t cry because there’s always the next day.

Second, this is my first time with great percentage and no comments from Rob? This is a bummer! Things like this won't happen again for like another 75 years, um yeah.

Also, just 5 weeks ago you scored 7.49% with a bronze medal. And 4 weeks prior to that you scored a 5.88%. You've got to cut ol' Rob a little slack. ... I took 3 years of "machine shop practices" got A's and B's.... I got a job in a little shop @ the age of 15, I got credits for leaving school and working (in my Jr and Sr years).... I own a manufacturing company today.

I can't speak Spanish but I'm not to old to learn it. I do have a few Spanish speaking employees that I can't talk to, but their supervisor can. http://www.mrmarketishuge.com/images/icons/icon14.gif

In 1990 I bought a set of tapes called "Japanese with Ease" and listened to them in my truck for about a year.Sssssss! :p I have a few Japanese customers you see. I can ask for a beer, newspaper, taxi, pencil, water, chicken, and banana all in Japanese!LOL.... I can also say "excuse me" and "thank you".... I learned a few little Japanese sayings from a young Mechanical Engineer back in the early 90's (He's now the plant Manager). One is "The Customer is God (Kami)" [not literally, it's just a saying showing reverence to your customer].... Another is "Sometimes even a monkey (Saru) falls from tree".... This saying is appropriate if you have really tried diligently and have serviced the customer flawlessly.... then you screw something up.... Like miss a delivery date. It's better if the customer says it to you though.

To succeed as a customer of a hard-line Japanese Company it's not good to be presumptuous ... but humble. I have found that once you prove yourself, they are extremely loyal customers and don't mind paying a premium for quality and service.

So Jeisen.... You still speak Japanese?

Free 2nd hand tip !!!
Cramer says if BMY fires CEO and keeps current dividend at tomorrows meeting , the stock could go up enough to win the POTW. If they keep Dolan and cut the dividend , a person choosing BMY in the contest could finish in last place. Anyone willing to take that chance ?As we all know, Dolan did get the axe. Had one bought BMY at the open Tuesday and sold at Friday's closing price, he or she would have picked up 1.9% for four days—not a bad little gain but hardly the stuff of a POTW medal-winner. You don't suppose ... uh ... you don't suppose little Jimmy Cramer would stoop to sensationalism to garner viewship of his Mad Money show ... do you? Nahhhh, not Cramer! Couldn't be! heh heh

Hey, BillyJoe, do you realize that if you would have stuck with ERTS, you'd have gained 4.27% on the week?

Would you believe it if I told you that when I switched to GOOG long, I thought about and came really close to going short on F? It's true. But I chickened out on account of its volatility right now.

Rob,
The market usually thinks opposite of what I think. I thought F was going down the tubes so the market would think opposite of me and reward F's bad news with great support. Tricked once again !

My prayers are with your daughter. I am so sorry that she had such a serious accident. Our hopes and prayers are for a quick and complete recovery for her. I could wish we were near you; we'd come visit you and pray with you all and see if we could help in some way. Please let us know how she is progressing. On the bright side of all this, God can richly bless through serious trouble like this if one will seek His blessing. I am praying that your entire family will receive some extra special blessing through all this, so that in time to come, when you all look back on this accident, you all can say with your hearts that God really blessed you all through it. God bless you all.

Do you need to open an account for access to their real-time streaming accounts and other resources. I don't think they give it out free to anyone without an account. As an alternative if Ray didn't want to or couldn't open an account at TDAmeritrade, there is Medved Quotetracker. They are completely free and you get the streaming realtime quotes, intraday realtime charts, level 11 quotes, raw data and time and sales, plus a full selection of all kinds of indicators and chart variables to plug into your charts and build them the way you want them for free. I have access to a couple of different online brokersages but Medved's realtime trading platform is what I have on my trading screen all day. I can do everything I want just as if I were doing it through my brokerage from their trading platform. I don't think you can beat it for free and is definitely worth taking a look at.

Do you need to open an account for access to their real-time streaming accounts and other resources...

Ski, to my knowledge, you need an account with TD Ameritrade in order to use their streaming data. My number 1 reason for using it is that I can pull up a chart (5 days to 1/2 hour) and watch the action as it happens. I do a lot of momentum buying, so I when I am watching the trades happen in real time on the charts, I can immediately put in an order within seconds of seeing the actions in the stock to catch a momentum move up or down. You can also use trend lines on the streaming charts to help you to see a bigger picture of the action. I find it very useful.

I'm sure that there are comparable products out there. But I like to use TD Ameritrade's because it is my trading platform, and I can make the trades immediately as I see the action unfold in front of me. I have never experienced a problem with inaccuracies... and that seems to be an issue at times for others.

TD Ameritrade streamer suite also offers other neat tools like Level II, portfolio streamer, news, depth chart, etc... I don't use all of the tools every day, but it's nice for those days when you need more information.

Geez, I should ask TD Ameritrade for a few free trades after that pump job :D

Any EBAY news today? What's the deal with a $1 hit on this one?Last time I checked I didn't see anything of great importance. The stock is still cheap. I think whoever it is that's accumulating has just decided to let things cool off for a while and let those who live or die by every tick worry themselves into a frenzy. They let that herd mentality work in their favor as the price is driven down to the point they can accumulate more at a cheaper price. They never go straight up, do they?

I looked on EBAY for a drawbar for a 2840 John Deere just today. I figured I could pick one up for about $25 but I couldn't find one on there. I'm disappointed because a new one costs $240. I was reading news before the market opened. Figured it to gap...was hoping for 20 cents and I got .21. if I had traded it in real life I'd estimate that I probably would've been able to get about .15 on it.

I used to trade news...it is fun...but it takes a lot of time and a lot of being in the right place at the right time. The most I remember making in a couple of minutes is 18%. Many of the news plays run then they pullback...then sometimes they run again...I would usually sell them at the first sign of a p/b so in many cases I only grabbed 5-10% of a 20, 30, 40%+ run. I know a lot of times after I clicked buy confirm I immediately put in a sell order...I always played the news with market orders so I wouldn't miss them or get stuck with them. Most orders I put in now are limit.

Today I had 2 limit orders in that never got filled...I cancelled them when I went to take a shower...they were on OMNI and RMBS. I usually cancel a limit order right away if the stock takes off...I don't want it on the way back down.

No, a top-link is the third element in a three point hitch.... A drawbar is simply an alloy steel bar that attaches to the tractor and is used to hitch a towable implement or wagon.

Here's the "aftermarket" drawbar. http://secure.ssbtractor.com/cgi-bin/quikstore.cgi

Here's a toplink. http://secure.ssbtractor.com/cgi-bin/quikstore.cgi

Looks like the links don't work so here they are....

http://img246.imageshack.us/img246/3339/drawbartb3.png (http://imageshack.us)

The drawbar for my 2840 (a tractor that I seldom use) came up missing and I couldn't find it anywhere. After several phone calls I found that it had been borrowed from me by a fella who works for me part time. His father had broken the drawbar in his 2640 while cutting hay a few weeks ago, I was in Roanoke and he was in a bind so he "borrowed" the drawbar.... but it would not work. So he left it at his "daddy's barn" and forgot to return it..... He brought it back this morning. http://www.mrmarketishuge.com/images/icons/icon14.gif

I loaned this same guy a (high dollar) registered Simmental Bull to breed his cows with last December. I asked him about six weeks ago to get the bull up in a corral so I could get him back because I have a group of cows I want to put him with this December.... I wanted him pin him up and make sure he's nice and fat before I turn him in with 50 horny cows (a bull will lose a couple hundred pounds breeding all those cows btw, that's why IIC's so skinny I guess) ANYWAY!..... He never called me back.... so I called his Daddy and asked when I could get my Bull. His daddy said that my bull wasn't in his pasture and that he thought he was breeding a neighboring farmers cows..... So after further due diligence I finally find my freakin' bull FOUR farms away breeding a ragtag bunch of skanky cows that are being kept in a single strand of electric wire! (I'm lucky he wasn't at Smith Mountain Lake by now!!!!).... So Saturday I get a bunch of corral panels together and a bucket of grain (and my stock trailer) and head off to retrieve my bull. I had him loaded in about fifteen minutes and headed home..... NEIGHBORS! SHEESH! :p

Lye,
Any old orchard tractors in your area? We've got a '34 McCormick Deering O-12 that my grandpa bought new and we'd like to get it running again.

----------billyjoe
I'd say there are Billy.... Wow! I'd love to have that tractor. If you ever want to rid yourself of it please let me know. What parts do you need?

You better get some penecillin for your bull before you let him at your cows. Don't want to spread "the itch" from the trashy skank heifers down the road... I thought you said AI?

You misunderstood.... I'm gonna IA my heifers.... Now Peanuts,You do know the difference between a cow and a heifer don't you?

This is a six year old mature bull and he's pretty HUUUGE.... He'll go in with a group of mature brood cows. I would never breed a 2,200 pound Simmental bull to 850-900 pound heifers. Plus his calves tend to be a little big for first calf heifers.... His average calf weighs about 90+ pounds.

I plan to AI the heifers with Black Angus semen from a low birth weight proven bull. http://agonline.com/rei/angblkepd.asp?ID=36 (http://agonline.com/rei/angblkepd.asp?ID=36)

Now they'll be able to handle a bull like him on their second calf. I'll post a picture of him if I can remember to take one tomorrow.

The Thai stock market was ordered closed by the military on Wednesday, though trading is expected to resume on Thursday. After news of the coup spread in New York on Tuesday, two closed-end funds specializing in Thailand fell about 4%, presaging weakness when Bangkok trading resumes.

IIC
As the reigning POTW player this fortnight. Doug, you are HUGE!!!!!

Congrats also to the other 5 players staying in the green over the past 13 weeks: Diogenes, RL, Rob, Park Twain and Gatorman!

An honorable mention goes out to Da Mighty DMK
who, though not appearing on the list this time due to his low participation (4 out of 13), would have trounced everyone with a Special K value of over 9% had I listed him. So nice picking, DMK, but let's see some more picks so you can be back to claim your proper place next time.

For lack of anything more original, I've just been calling it the Special K in honor of Karel, since he was the one requesting a 13-week average of the POTW results. I can rename it the Special IIC for you if you like. All it is, as I state each time I post it, is the cumulative % gain (loss) over the past 13 weeks of picks divided by the number of weeks played.

A HUUUGE congratulations to the hustler, Van McCoy, a.k.a. Sticky, a.k.a. StkyTreat for his first gold medal performance in his sixteenth week of participation in the POTW!!! Way to go, Van!!!

Well look who came shooting up out of the morass of the middle all of a sudden! It's colossal Karel, gaining more than 9% on this final day of the week!! Awesome, Karel! Awesome!

The Ice Man did manage to retain the bronze position this week, despite all comers, and despite his little, ill-timed tango with NAPS. Do you folks realize this is the Ice Man's 8th medal in 14 weeks? Now you see why he's at the top of the cumulative totals in spite of the fact that in weeks 19, 23, 24, and 28 he lost 12.67%, 18.86%, 19.07%, and 14.54% respectively.

I would also like to point out that the active players scored a whopping 1.44% this week—the best score since week 22 when we turned in a 1.65%!

There is a reason for that...remember a conversation between me and Runner...or was it NBB???...Think it was Runner...We had both said that on weeks that we knew we had little chance to win that we just forgot about the contest and let our losing pix slide...After that I decided to take the contest a little more seriously and look for the longer range even if I'm not gonna win that week...Heck...I wanna beat Ray's butt this year...Doug(IIC)

Interesting pick this week to start off with Ninner. I was wondering if you had seen that I had been in it for a couple of weeks and exited the position last week. At the time it seemed to be stalling out and I didn't want to give back anymore of my gains. It fell some more after my exit but came back on Friday to close at $15.61 up .24 for the day. I wasn't watching it until I saw your post in the POTW thread and it prompted me to go back and take another look at both the daily and weekly charts. I still think it could go to previous highs at $16.50 to $17.50 range but I see a little more downside on both of those charts. An outfit I subscribe to, where I got the play initially, still has faith in the stock and has kept it on their Emerging - 50 list. I'm putting up a copy of that list over on my thread.

You shouldn't "look a gift horse in the mouth"..... because he might be "long in the tooth"

A neighboring elderly farmer (that I'm very fond of) tells me stories when I visit with him, his name is Sanford.... The old guy keeps me in stitches laughing. He keeps a jar of The GoJi in his fridge and he offers a swallow to visitors as a hospitable gesture.lol.... He was quite a cattle hustler in his day. He always raised a few head on his 80 acre farm but made more money traveling from livestock market to livestock market "Pen Hooking" (buying direct from a farmers truck waiting to unload.... then selling the livestock in his name and running up the price as a bidder). Here's a story that he told me once that I found very amusing.

There was a meat processing plant (Dinner-Bell) in Bedford, VA that in addition to slaughtering cattle and hogs would slaughter horses and process the meat. The plant closed down a few years ago. Anyway.... Sanford knew "the market" well. He knew what he could sell an old cow directly to the processor and he knew exactly what "killer horses" were bringing per pound. So he'd scan the newspaper want-ads for anyone selling cheap horses. One day he saw an ad where a man was selling two pet horses to a "good home".... Sanford phoned the man, got his address and went to view the horses. He said the old horses were very well fed and "fat as a hog". Sanford assured the man that he had a farm with plenty of good pasture and they struck a ca$h deal. Then he proceeded to talk the man into throwing in the saddles and other tack in with the deal. After loading the horses on his truck he headed straight to Dinner-Bell and sold the horses "by the pound".... Then he went to "Happy's Flea Market" and sold the saddles and tack. He tripled his money on the deal all in one day. http://www.mrmarketishuge.com/images/icons/icon14.gif

Lye,

In the late 60's I had stock in the Eckert Packing Company that marketed it's products under the "Dinner Bell" brand. If they were selling horse meat and calling it pork or beef that explains why the stock was a turkey. Another gem recommended by my friendly broker.

I know a fella who worked there and he said that the Prime Horse Meat was exported to France and Japan. Then the scraps were made into dogfood. I just Googled up this article. "One man's protein is another mans pet"....jejeje :p

http://www.foodreference.com/html/arthorsemeat.html...

HORSE MEAT

Quick, who eats horsemeat? If you don’t know the answer, read on. The information may be good for you!

French, Italians, Swiss, Japanese and Quebecois in Canada are horse meat aficionados and most of the 65,000 horses slaughtered in the country were shipped to Europe, Japan and to the province of Quebec.

The French appetite for horse meat dates from the Battle of Eylau in 1807, when the surgeon-in-chief of Napoleon’s Army, Baron Dominique-Jean Larry, advised the starving troops to eat the flesh of dead battlefield horses. The cavalry used breastplates as cooking pans. They also used whatever spices they could get their hands on. It continues today!

Horsemeat is lean, protein-rich, finely textured, bright red, firm, and more so horses are immune to BSE (Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy). Tough meat cuts must be cooked long enough to tenderise connective tissue (collagen), or marinated before cooking to ensure both flavour and tenderness.

English will not consume horsemeat. To them, horses are companions, not food, the way most of us think of dogs!

Yet Chinese and Korean eat dog meat and consider it a delicacy. One man’s protein is another man’s pet!

Today horsemeat at least in Quebec, particularly in Montreal is very popular. Butchers specializing in horsemeat are busier than ever due to the BSE fears spreading rapidly.

Horse butchers in Montreal sell minced meat, steaks, sausages, and brochettes. All claim horsemeat to be superior quality from a sanitary perspective.
In Europe, horse butchers are allowed to sell only horsemeat, as is the case in Quebec.

Americans will not touch horsemeat, and find it offensive to consume it.

Yeah, ACOR is a tough bull to ride. But look at AMLN. I shorted the dog at $43.94 and it fell all the way down to $42.xx, hit support, and bounced. It made a long lower shadow yesterday and today. Ordinarily I'd say it marks a trend reversal, but today the move upwards was on lower volume (bearish). This stock feels like MFLX to me. Lots of emotion driving it higher, and when a selloff comes, some pretty emotional bulls step up to push it higher--until the bulls run out of cash. I am expecting such a play here sooner or later. The chart shows a rounding top. It ought to rollover sometime. If things get too excited it can fill a gap way down low.

Here's the weekly:

I was wondering why you didn't cover when it hit 42.xx yesterday...;) Guess the charts say some funny things sometimes. Sooner or later, though, AMLN will start to take off again. I don't know what the catalyst will be- either the scrips passing 50k next month, or some of the 13M short shares start feeling the heat and rushing to the exits. Bulls won't need to put any more money in to make AMLN rise. In fact, the institutions have 101% of the shares locked up already (per Yahoo). All it takes is the shorts tripping over themselves to cover for a $30, $50, or $80/share stop-loss and presto- AMLN is a $100 stock.

Thanks for the reply.
No the chart DID say that $42.xx was support, and in real life I covered my short options. I let it run here because I expected AMLN to continue to hammer that support line all week. Ya never know about these things. What did surprise me was the strength with which AMLN fully recovered that $2 dip in just an hour and a half. And there was selling going on. AMLN traded 1.2 million shares in an hour (daily avg 2.4 m).

$100 stock? Presto? Yes, that would be "presto!" :D Chart is bearish almost any way you look at it: RSI, EMAs, patterns, trend, etc. And then FA wise, AMLN is overbought trading at over 10X sales, with new competition coming on line between now and December, competition in the form of a pill and not an injection (ease of use will make a difference). So there are reasons, both TA and FA, to be short.

Question: on what day does AMLN announce the weekly scrips totals?

Edit: Correction: Billyjoe sold MSFT and bought RGR at the open today. As a result his net gain so for this week is -0.08, not 2.16% as shown above. Thanks for bringing this to my attention, Billyjoe, and thanks for your honesty in pointing out the oversight, even though it hurt your score. The correction will be reflected in the next update.

It's a 20/20 split right down the middle now... but where will it end up on Friday? This contest just gets better every week. :cramersmiley: :cramersmiley: :cramersmiley: :cramersmiley: :cramersmiley:

Very interesting chart Doug. It looks like there were a couple of days where it came close to that. If it blasts off and makes 27% in one day on either this Thursday or Friday you've got a bottle of Cabernet and a brand new $100 dollar bill. But you've got to root like hell for it to happen.

Wow! What a way to end the 3rd quarter on a high note! I not only managed to edge out Colossal Karel for the gold, but I also managed to squeak past the dreaded Ice Man for the top billing in the cumulative totals for the quarter! I will strut; I will do the Iggy Shuffle; I will flex my pecs; I will order you to send me your finest meats and cheeses! I will mock and deride my foes as they flee in sheer terror from my presence! I'm insanely HUGE!

Karel, Karel, Karel! Do you realize that at one point today (shortly after 10:30 Eastern US time) you were up by 25%??? It was very kind of you to take a dive like that for me and all, but you didn't really have to. Nevertheless, you finish the week with the silver medal and a highly respectable 8.96%! It was quite a contest this week!

Da Mighty Kong comes bounding out of da dense jungle and latches onto his second bronze medal in three weeks with a nice 3.48% for da week! Nice going, DMK! Maybe next quarter you will not register quite as many absences and drive us all ape trying to keep up with you!

[...] Karel, Karel, Karel! [...]
Well, Rob, I missed the top, but I was sorely tempted to pull the trigger when I saw that PCCC started to slide. But PCCC is a Mechanical Fund pick, and I just keep hanging in on those until they drop from the screen. You are welcome to your win! In real money, I am in at $9.00.

And ski: no problem! The volatitlity in this stock just worked wrong, if you want to call +9% wrong. :) I am glad I am working back to the positive side in the Total Averages. That is where I want to be.

Karel

Here are the K-data (based on previous 13 weeks of POTW) results for weeks 27-39. It's ranked by "special K", or Cumulative Gain (%) / Weeks played.

DMK is HUGE again, with the 35% racked up in week 30 still keeping him on top. Unless he pulls an ACOR-type stunt next week, it'll likely keep him there for the next time, too.

Congrats also to Rob, Dio, RL, Doug and ParkT for outstanding performance. Someone following the picks of any one of you over the last 13 weeks would have averaged at least a 1% gain for every week. That is indeed HUGE!

This is primarily a weekly contest, hence its name
Although the change from Friday's close to Monday's open worked against you in this instance, sometimes it will work in your favor as well
Each participant is equally advantaged or disadvantaged by the rules as they are, thus levelling the playing field
It's a fun way to sharpen one's trading skills, "fun" being the operative word here

relatively new science. From there I found CLRK and I have been watching it off and on since 8/11/2006 when Smith sent the email.

Very interesting chart. Where is the company going? Why did you choose CLRK over any other sector stocks?

I am not sure I understand your question about where they are going.
And as far as sectors, I was just looking for an issue that looked ripe
for a rise in price, in this sloppy market. Plus CLRK just cut a deal with
Siemens subsidiary Osram Sylvania which is the reason for the rise today.
Do your own DD on the company. The technology is extremely energy efficient.

DVSA - longWebs, according to my Ameritrade feed DVSA opened today at $8.20. But since your purchase was posted in pre-market hours, I simply let my program grab the opening price as reported at businessweek.com, which price is $8.07. This being an unusually large discrepancy, I went and checked nasdaq.com and yahoo.com as well, and both of these are also reporting an open of $8.07. So you're in at $8.07.

I don't know how you did that, but if I find out that you're using any sneaky, high-tech, Vulcan trickery, you're in a heap o' trouble.
