Come on .... 23 views and 6 votes?! Shame on you all. Maybe I should have put a 'neutral' or undecided option.

Should I make this a Sunday evening special? Next time put bull/bear/undecided? Maybe all those phantoms don't really care :D

I expect a short-term bounce as shorts may cover thus causing a possible up week. I’m cautiously monitoring volume on the indices. If volume does not return in a strong way many who take on new positions may get trapped into another down turn in the market. I expect some whipsawing as well. Another thought is the possibility of investors shorting this
Rally attempt, but as always time will tell.

Spike,

I don't know anything, but I think we may get a small bounce Monday or Tuesday, but overall down for the week.

And, yes, we ought to do this every week. Perhaps someone will throw a little T.A. up on the board and we can work together to enhance our $$$$$.

I'm bullish for the week. At least I hope so. All my positions are long.

Big bounce sometime early in the week. Then probably will retreat but remain up for the week.

Tom McClellan says the correction is not over. He
expects a bottom to arrive in the period Jan. 18 thru
21.

Hey Spike

What index are you going to use to measure the bulls and bears?Sorry mimo, forgot all about this thread after my last post. I dunno, what do you think? $NDX or $COMPQ or what? Was a pretty flat week this one.

Looking at the poll from last week it just goes to show ya how the market often will do the opposite of what the masses thinks

The billyjoe index shows a big improvement over last weeks downturn of 92% of selected stocks. The same stocks, coincidentally 92, on my watch list this week were 68% advancing.

bearish short-term. bullish long term. bearish very long term (depends mostly on outcome of ITER).
