Hello Karel,
Hopefully you will find this and read it. The new format requires me to look for an existing subject before posting away. So I thought I would try here. The jury is still out for me on this format.
I have trouble reading through the "subSilver" backgroud. I attempted to change it, but there is no other choice. Ernie's picture and the top part of the page look great. Is there any way I can just make the page have a plain white background?? Thanks. Tim

Hi Tim, yes, I found your message. I think we will all have to find our way in this "threaded" setup, but things are not that much different from Yahoogroups really. The email was archived as threads, and we are now working with exactly such an archive, without the emails.
When to start a new topic and when to reply to an existing topic will be differently interpreted by everyone, I am afraid. But that is no problem. You could have started a new topic, say Problems reading board. No problem. Let me point you and everyone else to the Styles section (http://www.phpbb.com/styles/styles_demo) of the phpbb site. I'll make a topic for the purpose. Express your wishes and we'll see what we can do.
Regards,
Karel

There is no problem with starting a topic and just posting away. The key is to make the topic heading something that others will be interested in reading...for example:
"XYZ looks great right now after pullback"
Then in your message you can defend your position.

No, it isn't, as far as I can see. You are not supposed to post to the forum, but you just pick a style from the left hand side of the screen to see the effect on the forum. Or maybe it was just a temporary glitch.

Karel, do you study theology?
Yes, I did. I finished my study quite some time ago. I thought at the time to combine theology and IT, but that didn't work out. I could have opted for a pastoral year, but almost before I knew I was translator (freelance) for a firm in the computer books business. Now theology is my hobby, and I am a volunteer in my church, a chapel of the Augustinians.

Interesting combination, Karel. Actually, the pastor of the Lutheran church I was a member of in Houston (now I'm a member of one in Cherry Hill) did exactly that. He accepted a call to a parish in Washington state, but started doing more and more IT services, finally had to resign his parish position and do the IT thing full time. At the page linked below, he is listed at the top as editor/manager.

Hi stenzrob,
Ah yes, both computers and the church know how to claim your time! I am RC, BTW.

Karel
