This keeps getting curiouser and curiouser...Goldman has dropped from 160 to 100 in the last 5 days...giving it a trailing PE of 5.

If Morgan merges with Wachovia, Goldman is the last investment bank left. They can't do deals by themselves (with no other consortium). Wall Street as we know it can disappear and be thrown over to all the private equity firms.

This is wild...I am watching closely. Either the buying opportunity of a lifetime or D - E - D...

Mr. Mkt.,

I made some $$ with GS earlier this year but was worried when somebody (can't remember who) said their numbers didn't add up. That was well before any talk of LEH or AIG problems. It just seemed GS was immune to the troubles of their competition.

You are indeed HUGE, $$MM!!! While my LJPC is down 7% today (yet again) my $$MM picks are up on average 7%, including a nice 16% gain in my biggest one, OFG (at this rate, it'll overtake LJPC as my biggest holding overall by tomorrow).

Go OFG, go CAE, go TWGP!!!:D (And nice call on GS today, btw)

I agree Mr Market is one smart Cookie .....but Peanuts How about n Action Figure of Mr Market at the urinal....that kind of sums it all up , especially when it concerns the 750 bail out Hold Up LOL
