what if the trillion dollars we spent in Iraq was used to bolster the economy right now.....??

It would most likely be spent on producing oil here at home, rather than trying to get a big piece of the overseas in-ground reserves. The price of oil would most certainly drop. The value of the dollar would be bolstered.

But alas, that is only a temporary solution to the mess that the FED has made of our economy.

The killing Muslim fundamentalists would have probably blown up the Sears Tower, the Empire State building, the White House, the Pentagon, and many other important buildings, along with thousands of Americans in them.

Doesn't that thought make you feel good about the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq? It does me.

There is no way of knowing you if what you say is true. It doesn't take much for a whack job to want to do something like this and I don't know if a full military effort 5,000 miles away does much good in that regard.

Having said all that, I know why Islamic fundamentalists hate Americans. They don't want us to teach their women to think. Women wait on men like slaves in those regions, and they don't want to give that up.

It's too late now...We're stuck in Iraq for at least a few more years... Even future President Obama is starting to realize it.
