I know we've been through all this before, but I need some opinions....
I'm about to take some of my extra dollars that are laying around and open yet another brokerage account with Interactive Brokers. I gotta do something with all this cash. jejeje
The reason I'm opening an IB account is so I can experiment with the YM's, plus the low commissions. Of course, there are probably other brokers who offer futures trading that I don't know about.
Tell me dudes!
Who do you use?
Who's the best broker??
Why doesn't Dr McCoy like Spock???

I'm fairly satisfied with IB. Their customer support is not the greatest but with low fees such as these what can you expect.
The fee's are low but be aware that if you don't accumulate atleast $30 in fees in a month, they will charge you $10 for the data service (to get quotes).
Couple of weeks ago I was ready to drop them when I couldn't trade odd lots. I called them up and said why aren't the exchanges accepting my orders (I was trying to buy 50 shares of NYX). They said that they no longer accept odd lot orders, no email or warning about this prior to themd oing this. Well apparantly many more people called them to complian about this and the next day they were accepting odd lot orders again.
It doesn't cost anything to open the account, so you have nothing to lose. I would go for it, maybe you will like it.
First of all there are plenty of Futures brokers...apparently you never checked out my directory...
Second of all IB is not as cheap as it seems...5,000 shares can cost you up to 25 bux and 10,000 can cost you up to $50 per trade...IIC

I do place 5,000 to 10,000 share orders sometimes. $50 would suck. Ameritrade charges the same $9.99 fee, regardless of the number of shares.
It might be best to wait until I actually am ready to trade YM's before I switch...
Oh...and Dougy...Your directory is the first place I ever check for anything...really! I promise!

Has anyone looked into Zecco.com. They provide free trades. I am looking to move my IB account to them next month while I am on vacation for a month.
