In 2001 Acuvue was sued (successfully) by customers who found out that the 1-day lenses were identical to the weekly wear ones. You could have gotten $3 back per box of any Acuvue lenses you bought from 1994-2001.

I didn't file for my money back, though, because my box of Acuvues purchased for half-price online without a prescription lasted me for 6 years. Once I had LASIK, I even had to throw out the last dozen or so.

all kidding aside, I gave up my glasses a year ago and my eyes are practically back to 20/20. Eyes tend to get stronger when put to work.

3 weeks is nothing. I wear my 2 week Acuvue lenses for 2 months. As long as you take them out every night and keep them clean, they stay in good shape. I've worn them like this for about 6 years and have never had a problem.

I also use generic contact lense solution. It's a lot cheaper than the name brand and works just as well.

I use the money I save to invest in the stock market.
