View Full Version : Why Jesus Died for You

Jesus loved you. He knew that they were going to crucify him, but he did not run away. He knew that his words would be rejected by some and this would lead to his crucifixion, but he spoke anyway. Imagine someone who knew he would be humiliated by having a crown of thorns placed on his head and have the flesh practically ripped from his bones, who loves you so much that he would be willing to having stakes pounded throught their arms and feet so that you can know God's love. He died so that when he returned to God and God asked Jesus: "My son, look what they have done to you! What do you want me to do with them?" Jesus told him, "Father, forgive them. Though they have slain me, they know not what they do. They know not your love. Let my blood cleanse them of all sin." And so it was. Three days later he arose, a miracle that happened so that the world would know for sure that our God is a loving God, that Jesus had not deceived you in any way. That his word was the truth, and that God wants you to be kind to each other in the same way that Jesus was to his own brothers and sisters during his stay in this world. Nobody deserves to be away from the love of God, and those who are absent from him are the dark souls who say they can do without him, but he is waiting for you. When you draw your last breath here on earth, you will draw your first breath on the other side. If you have felt love in this life, imagine that times a hundred in the His presence. If you are tired you will be energized, if you are immobile you will be able to run, if you are scared God will show you that you have nothing to fear in his presence. God is your creator, your Father, and he his waiting to hold you in his arms.
Cosmo, do not—as many do—make the mistake of believing that God's forgiveness is unconditional. (See Matt. 7:21 for example.) And that's all I have to say on the matter.

God is the light and there is no darkness in union at all with him, and of course he rejects those who are of the darkness because they are not of the light. They have to choose the light, and you can't just snap your fingers and make this happen. People have to recognize the world of the physical is different from the world of the material. Let us remember first John 3:15 when he says that everyone who does not love his brother is a manslayer. 3:18 more than words are needed for love and that one should be union with God's children, not the world 4:4 and that fear does not exist in love 4:18

I actually don't believe the stuff I said, just wondered what people would say. Christmas is dead to me, I'll probably just sit around the day doing nothing. Religion didn't work for me and probably never will.

I'll say this to everyone one of you guys. When your back is against the wall and you think that your done and will never get out of this, or so ill that you can't move or take a crap or piss on your own, or alone and bleeding out from a wound or some car crash or accident the first and last thing you will be doing when the excrement is flowing out of you uncontrollably will be praying to Jesus or the Lord or whatever it is that you believe in to step in and save your miserable asses. But before you'll believe me you'll have to find yourself in one of those predicaments and then and only then will it be to late.
Cosmic, you really surprised me. You should be ashamed of yourself.

This is useless. A thread with this stuff to see how people would react? Let's see if I can find the lock. Ah, there it is.
