ladies and gentelmen...once again I received another letter in my mailbox touting this stock.......I generally throw them right into the waste basket....but whoa....the SOIGF Chart looks as if it may move up from here. Does anyone own this Oils Sands stock....there may be money to be made here?

Chart looks just like that CHCG stock you asked me about on HOT PICK OF THE DAY. Its symbol has changed to "SOIGF.OB", according to YaHoo.
Pretty impulsive these last few days; gaps up (that like to be filled in time). Looks like a pump job to me. That mailing hit the last three days and it really works. :D

In my opinion, one would be a fool to buy this stock. Its an accident waiting to happen. If options are available (not likely), then take what pocket change you have and buy some calls if you're so inclined. If you want some oil sands exposure there are much better plays, some off the top of my head: cnq, su, cop, nxy, pcz....there are others I just can't recall all of the symbols.
Keep in mind that oil sands were last years hot topic...they should still do fine given the price of crude but they are not nearly as loved as they were last year and there are many more players now than a year ago. The more crowded it gets, the harder it is to pick the winners.

I would agree with this post with the fundamentals of oil sands. And in a short while the environmentalists will be screaming about what oil sands production does to the landscape.

I believe they already are and anyone involved in the process admits that its a messy operation. Its basically strip-mining at this point.
Oh yeah, one I forgot to mention is ECA, they're also one of the largest natural gas producers.
And if you like speculative plays, then don't forget the oil shales in the US. They're even more difficult to develop economically, but I believe RDS has the best approach at this stage.
