As some of you might remember from old posts (more than a week ago) I got married on June 9th, 2006 to Hannah Waack in Pierre, SD. If anyone is interested here is a link to some of the pictures that I was able to get ahold of and put online.

I don't remember hearing that, but congrats are definitely in order! Always remember, a successful marriage is a union of two good forgivers.

Looks like a heck of a party... where was our invite? Even the dog got to go...

My father always said that the key to any successful relationship was to "expect to get less than you give, but always appreciate whatever you get."

Well, Way to go Sci!!!! Congratulations DUDE!!!!

Your bride is very beautiful and while you are a skinny dude right now.... That'll most likely change as you settle into marital bliss. I weigh'd 190 pounds when I got married almost 23 years ago and I weigh 300 now.... so that's about 4.75 lbs. per year average growth or 0.21 ozs per day, I guess I'll weigh 475 lbs when I'm 80. :p ....jejeje

My wife however has not gotten fat like me, she's maintained her same weight from high school.... Whew!

Scifos,
I expect to see you and your beautiful bride in a news conference with Bill and Melinda Gates in about 20 years tripling the charitable fund. Watch out for the food , those regular meals will kill ya. I gained 60 pounds in 24 years , but I started at 98 pounds you can figure the %.

I weigh 2 lbs less than I did when I was 20...It's distributed a little differently though. Last time I had my body fat checked it was 14.7%.

And actually my wife is an excellent cook...However, our schedules only permit us eating together about 2x a week...She does leave stuff for me but I eat to live...I don't live to eat...Doug(IIC)

Doug,
I once weighed 8 pounds. Wife says I'll never get back to that weight.

It looks like you and your wife and everyone had a nice celebration.

Thanks for all the kind words of wisdom and congratulations.

As for the weight thing, I'm working road construction again this summer before I move to Chicago. It's been 2 years since I've done manual labor and its actually pretty nice because although I'm gaining weight, its all muscle. Now all I have to do is switch from Snickers and Dr. Pepper to something more condusive to strength gaining.

Well...Looks like the Honeymoon is over...So let me just leave the happy couple with some sage advice:

"You know you're in love when you don't wanna go to sleep at night because your life is better than a dream".

Have a Happy Life...Doug(IIC)
